Protein shake for a vegetarian or wanting to lose weight maintain diet weight loss
For years in my 30s I was having a protein shake every day. I use to cycle ks and swim for hours and still I wasn’t losing weight, hanging around 80k Aside from the odd cake i was eating I wasn’t really losing weight until I started to cut down the amount of protein powder. Most shakes recommend 30g…I guess they would if you’re incredible hulk but i’m not. I now have 9g a day, a 3rd of the recommended. I also add other ingredients to boost my breakfast shake and stop me feeling hungry. I’ve had this shake now for about 3 years.
9g Protein Powder (Level Tablespoon) of your protein powder.
1 x desert spoonful of skimmed milk powder
1 x tablespoon of Psyllium Husk (cheap from the local indian shop)
1 x desert spoon flaxseed
1 x desert spoon sun flower kernels
1 x desert spoon sesame seed (also contains essential amino acid methionine)
1 x desert spoon of chia seed
